Actor/Designated Linklater Voice Teacher Sarah Weatherwax

offers a monthly Drop In Voice Class for Actors & Singers,

2nd Tuesday evening of each month, Sept., 2017 to June, 2018.

Next class: Tuesday Jan. 9, 2018, 6:30PM – 8:30PM

Gently release habitual tension to free your voice and your acting. Receive specific, individualized guidance. Both new and experienced performers are welcome in this relaxed, professional environment. No previous voice training required.

Focus this month: Vocal stamina & Restorative work.

Learn ways to remain relaxed and open on the inside even while dealing with work, auditions & rehearsals. Increase your vocal stamina by strengthening and stretching the inner musculature. Find power from relaxing and opening in the bottom of the body instead of squeezing and tightening in the upper part. And learn ways to feel better when your voice does become tired or stressed.

Toronto, Montreal & Boston.

Straeon Acting Studios

offers a two day Voice Intensive in Montreal taught by

Actor / Designated Linklater Voice Teacher

Sarah Weatherwax.

VOICE & BODY – Fri. April 28, 2017, 9:30am to 4:00pm.

Learn body/voice exercises designed to relax and energize for work as well as some quick ways to prepare for auditions and performances. Exercises taught will address spinal awareness and breath awareness all the way through to range and articulation with everything in between: jaw, tongue, soft palate exercises, breathing power and resonator warm-ups.

VOICE & TEXT, Sat. April 29, 2017, 9:30am to 4:00pm.

After starting the day with a very complete body and voice warm up, each student will receive in-depth, individual text coaching time. Group text exercises will also be explored. All coaching will come from a voice & body point of view. This workshop enables students to experience the direct application of Linklater voice work to acting text.

With a free voice an actor is more expressive and transformative. Physical and vocal character choices open up. Accents are more believable. It is easier to be more fully present, listen clearly and quickly access emotion, creativity and instinct.

Intended for career performers and career-minded actors/singers in training.  No previous experience with this method is required.
